We are London's major annual event and have been twice-named Canada's Major Fair of the Year, so selecting the right attractions is very important to us. Your show just seems to get better and better, Bob - it never ceases to amaze me how you do what you do, and have such fun with the audience every time. Whether they were kids, seniors, or somewhere in-between you really have a knack for keeping them in the palm of your hand, and as always, it was a pleasure working with you. Bob Cates was our featured performer at the Understanding the Early Years Parenting Event, held on July 4, 2009, in conjunction with the Malton Community Festival .
We had been looking for a headliner act – a family oriented act with a real sense of fun. A staff member with the Mississauga Library System recommended Bob Cates. When I asked for more information, this person replied “ [he] does an AMAZING act…for fun and entertainment you can’t do better than him”.
All my correspondence with Bob was handled in a highly professional and timely manner. He quickly answered all my queries about stage requirements and backstage facilities. On the day of the performance everything was again handled in a professional , pleasant and courteous manner.
The show was, in a word, incredible! The talent, innovation and sheer energy Bob demonstrated in the various acts was nothing short of phenomenal. I found myself captivated not only by the stage show but also with the audience reactions- they were just as spellbound as I was. The Chinese yoyo act really stood out but it was the plate spinning grand finale that grabbed everyone’s attention, with both children and parents shouting out warnings about dishes about to topple.
We had gathered feedback comments from the audience at the end of the Festival and there were a number of very positive comments about Bob’s act – I think “Bob Cates was the Best” sums up the general feeling very well.
I would highly recommend Bob’s Comedy in Motion Show for anyone needing an entertaining, jaw-dropping experience.

Thank you again for performing at our Ambassador Competition. We really enjoyed your act. Our Master of ceremonies is in the entertainment business and I would like to pass along his comments to you. Steve G. told us that we had such a high standard of entertainment at our competition this year with Comedy in Motion that we would have a hard time in the future to find an act as enjoyable or as high standard as Comedy in Motion. We worried each year how we can find entertainment that will be entertaining to all age groups as we have three generations of families attending our event. Our problem each year is to find good clean wholesome fun with out losing our young adult or teen audience. I watched from the audience the faces of some of our young people as they were thoroughly caught up in your act. They were applauding as vigorously as the rest of the audience. I had the pleasure of working with Bob Cates during our recently completed 12th Annual Edmonton International Street Performers Festival (July 12 - 21). During our ten days together I found Bob to be thoroughly professional. He was punctual, co-operative and hard working. His skills are well developed and his "patter" is excellent. Many thanks for those humorous, entertaining, and masterful shows that you performed in Elmvale at our recent Fall Fair. Your Diabolo manipulation left the crowd in awe. I believe this is a first for most of us to witness that act. I must compliment you on the many skills that you did display: fire swinging, unicycling, knife juggling, ping pong ball spitting, solo juggling, hat manipulation & cigar box juggling. You were able to work on our small stage, keep the crowd under control and in awe, and please young and old alike. Keep up the great work and I am sure and I am sure that you are on your way to further stardom! I feel that your kind of entertainment is great for rural fairs and festivals with audiences of all ages.

There were two little fellows in the front row of the group that were seated right at the stage. They were laughing so hard I thought that they were going to fall off their chairs! We'll be having you back again, and it doesn't really matter what the weather is like.

What was so great about your show was that it appealed to both young and old. We have had nothing but positive comments about you and your show. Also, thank you for being so accommodating when it came to set up. We would be more than willing to recommend your show to other organizations like ours. It is good family entertainment at an affordable price.
