In the fall of 2008 I brought Bob Cates in to perform at a corporate fundraiser/Golf tournament that I was planning based on a recommendation from someone who had seen his show.  As an event planner, it can be difficult to find a professional quality, entertaining show that will appeal to a wide variety of people, but Bob’s show really exceeded my expectations.

Bob put on a show for a group of golfers who had been on the links all day and then had enjoyed a big meal and he was able to completely captivate them with his skills and with his interactive comedy.  

Bob has a great stage presence, and interacts with the audience in a very effective way.  The show itself is fast moving and permeated by witty humor and amazing skill.  Bob is more than “just a juggler”.  He is a professional entertainer who physical skills and sheer talent are a perfect compliment to his witty on-stage banter.  

Practically speaking, Bob is very organized in his dealings and carries out his end of the contract faithfully.  Bob was prepared, courteous and on-time, and it was a pleasure working with him.

Cohn & Wolfe hired Bob Cates to perform his Comedy in Motion show at Manitoba Ag Days in Brandon, Manitoba on January 20 and 21, 2010. Bob’s high-energy juggling routines attracted large numbers of trade show delegates to our client’s booth. Bob’s routines were so entertaining that many delegates returned for a second show.

Most of the trade show delegates were farmers and their families. Bob did a great job of tailoring his routines and jokes to capture the attention of this unique audience. We received nothing but positive feedback about his astounding juggling, unicycle riding and stilts walking acts.

He had come highly recommended from one of our employees who had seen his show at a previous event.  As an HR Professional, it can be quite a challenge to find a professional quality, entertaining show that will appeal to a wide variety of people, but Bob’s show really exceeded our expectations. Bob put on a great show for our employees and was able to completely captivate them with his skills and interactive comedy. Club 63 North brought back Comedy in Motion with Bob Cates for a second year to perform at our five Christmas parties on December 8th and 9th. Once again, we were not disappointed. Bob’s showmanship and skill are hard to match and his skills had guests of all ages cheering, laughing and sitting on the edge of their seats.
Bob performed for approximately 2000 people during the weekend and each show had the same “magic”. People who had attended the show last year were very excited to hear that he was returning this year.
The goal of our Christmas show is to provide a high caliber special event for our worker’s and their families, and Bob certainly helped us achieve our goal. Once again, we were both satisfied, and amazed.
Bob’s show combines amazing juggling skills, crazy stunts and witty and clean humour. Finding a show that the whole family can enjoy can be difficult these days, but Bob Cates’ show definitely fits the bill.

I am very pleased to offer you a letter of recommendation for Bob Cates and his “Comedy in Motion” show. We hired Bob to perform at an Appreciation Night for our members at Stonecroft Homes and were more than satisfied with his show.

Bob has a tremendous way of connecting with his audience with his witty banter and his overall friendly disposition won over the crowd. It is normally my responsibility to hire the entertainment for our company Christmas party. This year that position was taken on by someone else and to my pleasant surprise it turned out to be Bob Cates. As merely a spectator this year, I was allowed to just "watch" the show and what a show it was. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I'd heard that we had a "juggler", then I sat back and watched in amazement as he not only juggled, but interacted with and entertained the audience.

Let me tell you from past experience, that sometimes it can be difficult to please some of these people. To see how these people just sat in awe and watched in amazement as Bob kept himself, and the tools of his trade, moving all the time. I didn't speak to one person that night (there were approximately 150 people) that did not thoroughly enjoy the show; some went on even to say how impressed they were at his skill and expertise. He is very personable and brought the audience into his show. I would definitely recommend his show for any event, any age.
